Gluteal Lift

Our genes determine the basic form of our buttocks. Some are round and perky, some are somewhat thin and flat, some are large, some small, some buxom and others flabby. However weight gain and loss also affect the shape and size.

Cosmetic surgery — known as a gluteal lift — can help us improve the shape, although it doesn’t make the buttocks larger. Essentially, the lift tightens the underlying tissue and removes excess skin and fat. It may also be combined with a tummy tuck or a lower body lift.

Gluteal Augmentation

Similar to breast augentation, gluteal augmentation changes the size and shape of the buttocks. Silicon-filled implants may be used to achieve fuller curves. Fat taken from another area of your body can also be placed in the buttocks in a procedure that is often called the Brazilian butt lift. Sometimes, both techniques are performed together during the same surgical procedure.

Fillers

As we grow older, it is natural for our facial skin and the underlying tissue to become somewhat loose and droopy. The loss of some of our subcutaneous fat, which is normal, can cause the lines in the face to become deeper and more pronounced.

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances and there are several types. They can be injected into localized areas to fill in subtle depressions and smooth wrinkles without surgery. Some can stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen in these areas. Thus dermal fillers can enhance the contours of our face, and are also used to plump up thinning lips.

However, these treatments are temporary, usually lasting some six to twelve months. They will need to be repeated in the future.

Facelift

As we age, gravity takes its toll. The process of aging causes us to lose some of the fat in the hollow below the cheek bones. In addition, age relaxes both muscles and skin in the facial area. Our lifestyle, unprotected exposure to the sun, and stress can have an impact. Even our genetic makeup plays a part in how we age.

There are several common results. The fold lines running from the nose to the corners of the mouth deepen. Sagging jowls may form along the jawline. And the tissue around the eyes begins to droop, resulting in a sad and tired look.

Known as a rhytidectomy, the facelift can make notable improvements in our appearance. Tissues are lifted and tightened, just as the name implies, and excess skin is removed. This results in a more youthful look and people often say that, after a face lift, the patient looks “rested and refreshed.” And, while surgery cannot stop the natural process of aging, it can set the clock back.

The facelift may be performed in conjunction with eyelid surgery and the brow lift.

Eyelid Surgery

This surgical procedure removes fatty tissue on the upper or lower eyelids, or both. Known as blepharoplasty, it can also include the “bags” that form under the eye, all in one single operation. The result is a more youthful, “awake” look.

Daddy Do Over

Similar to the mommy makeover, the “daddy do-over” is designed to help restore a man’s body to its more youthful contours. This suite of procedures frequently uses liposuction for stubborn pockets of fat, a tummy tuck and male breast reduction if needed. It may also include eyelid surgery to “wake up” the face, or chin surgery. Your needs and desires will guide your surgeon. Together, you will choose one or more procedures for the desired results.

Bucal Fat

Everyone has a pad of buccal fat beneath the cheek bones. Its size will vary from person to person, and aging affects both size and placement. For those who feel their cheeks are too chubby, there is the option of buccal fat removal in which excess fat is removed surgically.

Brow Lift

Our eyebrows may move closer to the eyelashes as we age, and we usually develop lines across the forehead and frown lines between the brows. This is where a brow lift can help. The procedure is also known as a forehead lift and “lifts” brow while reducing frown lines and furrows.

It may done alone or combined with a eyelid surgery, skin resurfacing or a face lift.

Breast Reduction

Generally, we inherit our body type. Some women naturally develop large and heavy breasts that can even restrict their activity. Their weight often causes discomfort including pain in the neck, shoulders and back, as well as skin irritation on the bottom of the beasts; the shoulders can become sore from the pressure of bra straps digging into the skin.

It can be difficult to find clothing that fits well, and this can affect our self esteem.

Reduction mammaplasty can help alleviate this discomfort and create more balanced, pleasing body proportions.
