Blepharoplasty In Tijuana, Mexico

Introduction

Eyelid Surgery In Tijuana

Eyelid surgery is a surgical technique that involves the removal of fatty tissue from the upper or lower eyelids or both. The end result is a more young, “awake” appearance.

The skin surrounding your eyes may lose elasticity and begin to droop as you age, adding to the appearance of fine lines, deep wrinkles, puffiness, and bags under your eyes. Your upper eyelids may also begin to restrict your eyesight. Performing a blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery can cure these issues by tightening loose skin, reducing excessive tissue, and eliminating fat deposits around the eyes. The procedure can help you attain a more youthful, happy appearance and address the practical issues connected with drooping eyelids in a brief, low-risk treatment.

About Eyelid Surgery Procedure

Eyelid surgery can treat both the upper and lower eyelids, however the procedures for each eyelid is slightly different.

Upper Eyelid Surgery

A tiny incision in the natural crease of the upper lid is created.   The procedure tightens the underlying tissue and muscles and eliminates extra skin through the incision.  The skin is then pulled taut and stitched together carefully.

Lower Eyelid Surgery

This type of procedure helps eliminate dark circles and flattens swollen under-eye bags.  An incision is created in the lower lash line and used to remove the extra tissue.  In some cases, the incision may be done on the inner of the eyelid.

Depending on the complexity of the treatment, blepharoplasty takes one to three hours. It may take longer if combined with another cosmetic procedure.

FAQ About Eyelid Surgery In Tijuana Mexico

Dr. Diego Ampudia makes the incision to follow the natural crease of the top lid during upper eyelid surgery. He can tighten loose muscles and remove fatty deposits through this access site. Ultrafine sutures are used to seal the wound.

Dr. Diego Ampudia performs lower eyelid surgery by making an incision along the lower lash line and removing extra skin and tissue. Incisions for lower blepharoplasty may potentially be masked behind the smile wrinkles. To seal the wound, ultrafine sutures are utilized once again.

Your eyes will be puffy and bruised for a few days after your eyelid surgery. They may feel parched or inflamed. Cold compresses, particularly in the first day or two following your treatment, might make you feel more at ease. It is critical to shield your eyes from the sun immediately following surgery and during the healing period. Most men and women resume their usual daily routines about a week following surgery, but it’s vital to consult with Dr. Ampudia before engaging in more strenuous activities.

Patients typically notice an improvement immediately after eyelid surgery, with the final results becoming more visible as any swelling and bruising fades over the first few weeks.

Although eyelid surgery cannot stop the aging process around the eyes, it can help patients maintain a more youthful appearance for a longer period of time.
